Due to the overwhelming response to our initial Restorative Justice online trainings this year, we are please to announce additional trainings and dates. Course details can be found by clicking the links below. Please keep watching this post for new training offerings over the course of the year.

Restorative Practices in Healthcare: New Visions of Healing-Centered Engagement

These introductory workshops were created for anyone working in broad connection with the health care system. These two workshops will introduce Restorative practices in both theory and practice, and begin building the groundwork for those looking to understand, conceptualize and practice a more restorative way to build a more connected and “just” workplace culture and to connect with clients proactively, as well as, to respond to harm in ways that center healing, relationship, accountability and wellness. Both workshops will model restorative practices, and provide opportunities for group discussion, connection, and experiential practice.

Navigating Process Design: Developing Collaborative RJ Processes Designed to Support Healing and Growth

This 2 Day workshop is meant for experienced restorative practitioners, or those who have undertaken online workshops with CJI this year. This course examines collaborative restorative justice approaches and processes, and reflects on how we might ensure the most meaningful restorative justice process for all participants involved. We will look at how we can develop and grow a circle of support with our participants, as well as how we can co-create a process that centers the needs of those directly harmed, using appreciative inquiry to begin supported visions of what healing and wellness might look like.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We will be embarking on a large amount of community training offerings both this year and next (2023-2024), from beginning levels to very advanced – from growing deep Restorative practitioner skills to in depth Restorative practices for schools, counselling, trauma and social work, and for those who want to build a more Restorative workplace and organizational culture. We will be offering both online and in-person training workshops, and we will be using experiential activities, community dialogue, visual slides and video, with opportunities to practice your skills in all sessions to keep the learning active and create deeper reflections.
As a non-profit, we aim to create training workshops that are lower cost that still compensate our diverse and experienced trainers and to ensure we can supply inclusive accessible spaces to learn within. To continue creating opportunities for learning that are inclusive to all, we ask that those with privilege and power to do so, consider paying full cost, and if interested, help fund others to attend at a discounted or no fee cost. Please inquire with us if you are interested in sponsoring the attendance of another community member/s. If you have financial concerns that make participation prohibitory, please let us know, no need to explain.
