Community Justice Initiatives is pleased to announce that Kailey Randle from Aldergrove Community Secondary School has won the Restorative Action Scholarship for 2020.
Kailey has been active member
of her school’s Restorative Action Team and Leadership class, and has implemented the lessons learned both in the school community and in her personal life.
According to Kari Poole, the school’s Youth Care Worker,
“She exemplified the skills that are required to support the restorative process with students requiring mediation and to help them work through their conflict. She has demonstrated a natural ability to deal with conflict by using empathy, communication and listening skills.”
Kailey is pursuing a career as a Youth Parole Officer. She will be studying Criminology this fall at the University of the Fraser Valley where she feels that her experience with the Restorative Action Program will be a huge asset.
Congratulations Kailey!
