We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge all of our members for their loyalty to CJI. We have learned that social support and connection can actually buffer a stress response, and during times of stress, such as what we see all around us in the world today, it is important to find ways to connect and support each other. CJI is working hard to do just that! It means a great deal to all of us that you continue to support our work as faithfully as you do, especially in times such as these. Heartfelt thanks!
This year has, and will continue to be, a challenging one for many organizations. It most certainly looks that way for ours. All three of our divisions have long depended upon the ability to bring people together in groups for training; peacebuilding and skill building in the Restorative Action Program in the district schools; and in the prisons, in facilitated dialogues between the trauma survivors and the prisoners who had caused them harm. None of those services can be delivered in the way they previously have been, at least for the foreseeable future. As we seek new ways to deliver our services, we are so appreciative for your support. So much of what we do is made possible because we continue to have the confidence of amazing supporters. Thank you for being a part of that wonderful group!
Please renew your membership today!
Memberships are important to the continuing work of CJI. Granting agencies consider membership numbers as an indicator of community support and consider this factor as they evaluate funding proposals. Your membership can also help us to continue to transform people’s lives and to promote safer, more peaceful communities.
Membership fees are only $15.00 per year (April 1 – March 31) and can be processed securely online by visiting our website. Alternatively, to pay by cheque, complete the form found on our website and return it to: Community Justice Initiatives, #102B – 6270 205 Street, Langley, BC V2Y 1N7. If your circumstances allow you to offer a donation in addition to the cost of your membership, that would be greatly appreciated and a meaningful encouragement to the staff and board.
If you renew your membership before May 15th, we will send you a complimentary copy of former CJI staff member Catherine Bargen’s book, “Educating for Peacebuilding” as our thank you.
We would love to hear from you! If you have any questions or suggestions, please reach out to us at mail@cjibc.org.
