We would like to gratefully acknowledge all of our members for their loyalty to CJI. It is important to find ways to connect and support each other and we are thankful for all those who have supported this organization over the years.
CJI currently has two opportunities to support and join in this work:
You can be involved with a CJI Membership.
Memberships are a great way to become involved in our organisation. Not only will you be helping us deliver exceptional training, programs and victim recovery services, members will also receive updates about CJI’s various events and activities and special discounts on training opportunities. Memberships for the 2024/2025 year are now being accepted. To read more about membership with CJI and to apply, continue reading here.
We are also looking to grow our Board of Directors.
Many amazing folks with diverse lived experience and who bring different skills and knowledge have joined our Board over the past 40 years to help advocate, guide and support our staff, as well as continue to evolve our organization over time. Many remain steadfast friends, supporters and advocates long after their time on the board has ended. As we navigate a new season at CJI, we are hoping to connect with individuals who are passionate about social justice, anti-oppression, dialogue, compassionate communication and healing-centred engagement.
Community Justice Initiatives strongly invites applications from all those interested in a board position. Preference will be given to folks who come from communities we work with such as people who are Indigenous, BIPOC, Youth, those that identify as Two-Spirit, trans, or gender diverse, and those with disabilities as well as lived experiences of harm and incarceration. Ensuring our board represents those we serve is an important value and need in our work.
Would you consider joining our Board and working with our team? Please reach out here or download and fill out our application form. Feel free to give us a call or send an email if you have questions. Any questions can be emailed to mail@cjibc.org, or call us at 604-534-5515.
