VITAL CONVERSATIONS: Turning Conflict into Opportunity in Life and Work

(1-2 Days)
Conflict is a natural part of day-to-day life. While conflict can be destructive, understanding its dynamics and having the skills to engage in productive dialogue can lead to positive and empowering outcomes. With a few simple tools, the quality of our interactions in conversation, problem-solving and conflict can be dramatically improved.

In this course, participants will:

  • Explore the roots and elements of conflict
  • Learn to be an effective listener, reflecting curiosity and openness rather than judgment and defensiveness
  • Learn to communicate assertively without raising the defenses of others
  • Learn to view conflict as an opportunity for strengthening relationships.

Intended for: anyone interested in more effective interpersonal communication, increased trust, cohesion and productivity in the community or workplace, increased self-awareness, and increased quality and durability of decision-making processes
